Keeping an eye on politicians and others who dismiss science and promote anti-science policies. As opportunities for action arise, I’ll suggest them–for example, contacting the senators whose votes are needed to confirm a candidate who’s anti-science.
I live in San Francisco with my wife and daughter and am a minister of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Palo Alto, California. As Unitarian Universalists, some things I and members of the congregation generally have in common are respect for “the guidance of reason and the results of science,” and a fervent wish for a thriving democracy, but this blog is my responsibility and I speak only for myself.
